I recently joined the Gather team as a Web UI Developer. I've been working on web sites and web applications since I first discovered the web in 1994 (well, if you count a personal home page as a "web site"!) In addition to writing HTML, CSS, and Java, I also am a dedicated amateur classical musician, having played the viola since the age of nine. My guilty pleasure is playing World of Warcraft in my free time.

You gotta remember, Gather is trying to make the site better. There's no reason to want to ruin your experience. They may not get everything right, but they're trying. No reason to be hateful.

However, they have been rude and condescending. We are not children and we do not expect to be treated as children. When individuals on the staff of Gather act as if they can be rude and are not informed their behavior is rude then they should not expect that those who use Gather will not be angry.
